From Pharmacist to Fishing Captain
Growing up in Indiana, Brandon Simon's love for fishing ran deep. From casting his first line in a local pond, he was hooked.
As he grew older, Brandon's passion for fishing only intensified, becoming a guiding force in his life as he earned his doctorate in pharmacy from Purdue University.
The call of the sea never wavered, even as he left Indiana and ventured south to the Gulf Coast in pursuit of his professional dreams.
With a focus on family-friendly experiences and a deep love for the bay that had become his second home, Brandon set out to create a business that would not only provide unforgettable fishing adventures but also foster a sense of connection and appreciation for the natural world.
In the gentle sway of the boat and the laughter of families casting lines together, Captain Brandon's journey comes full circle, a testament to the enduring power of following one's heart and finding fulfillment in the simple joys of life on the water.
One fateful day, Brandon took a leap of faith and founded Pharmasea Outfitters, a fishing charter company that would not only fulfill his dream but also give back to the community that had supported him throughout his career.
Since 2012, Brandon has dedicated himself to his career as a pharmacist, serving his community with care and compassion. But amidst the hustle and bustle of the pharmacy, his heart yearned for the serenity of the open water, where the only sound was the gentle lapping of the waves against the boat.
Fun fact:
Captain Brandon and Brandon have been fishing with each other since they were five years old in small town Southern Indiana. Whether it was small ponds, big rivers, or the Gulf of Mexico, they were always in chase of the next trophy catch.

Captain Brandon Gengelbach hails from Evanston, IN. When he’s not guiding clients during the summer, you can find him in the woods chasing whitetail and turkeys on his farm in Southern Indiana.
